What is the Law of sin and death
What is the law of Sin and Death?
The Bible mentions it several times.
Romans 8:1-2
Life Through the Spirit
8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
We have already learnt that condemnation can be :
1) Through God
2) Inward condemnation
3) Through satan
In the above verse we see the law of sin and death.
Sin and the law of sin along with death and the law of death is mentioned here, along with the spirit of life. It also talks about how the mind governed by flesh is death and the mind governed by spirit is peace.
Flesh=Death
Spirit=Spirit and Peace
Our minds need to be controlled by the spirit and not by flesh, and then we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Sometimes we find it difficult to retain the spirit as we are dealing with situations in life but we must make it a point to reach out to God for help and remember that once we are held in his hand nothing is difficult, everything becomes easier.
When we live in the way that God wants, the new way of living life will get activated.
The earth functions on Laws.
Natural laws and Statutory Laws.
Laws remain the same throughout,
The result of the law of sin is death.
Sin directly leads to death.
