The Most Misunderstood Person
The greatest story ever told is the story of Jesus, of God becoming Man. The One who was worshipped by thousands of angels took the form of a servant and lived a humble life, setting an example for us.
In a way, Jesus came to this Earth in order to restore the Christ- like nature within us, for which our attitude matters the most. Saul became Paul after his encounter with Christ Jesus - the man who once persecuted the church now desires only to know Christ more and to live for Christ. This is what’s required - not a change of religion, but a change of mind!
Philippians 2:5-6
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Human minds cannot comprehend God’s glory and greatness! His ways are mysterious! Heaven will be a place of learning.
Jesus did not leave His divinity, He did not cease to be God; instead He set aside His divine form and took the form of a foetus to come to this Earth. He forsook His privileges as God. The most complex and the most misunderstood personality is Jesus - He was 100% man and 100% God while on Earth.
John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Colossians 1:15
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
‘The firstborn’ is a title of Jesus, just as ‘the Word’, ‘the last Adam’, ‘the Lamb of God’ etc. There are above 100 names and titles of Jesus.
Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
All who saw Jesus while on Earth misunderstood this great personality. People spoke ill of him, right from his birth story - born out of wedlock. Jesus Himself said and proved that He was God and that He and the Father are one.
This Jesus is our Saviour and He invites us for an intimate relationship with Him. What a friend we have in Jesus; all our sins and griefs to bear. The reason we’re in trouble and distress is because we do not take it all to Him. Even today, Jesus extends His invitation to you for a closer walk!
