7 Blessings On Holiness

If one chooses to live in purity, leaving behind the way of impurity, that decision will bring 7 types of blessings on your holiness from Jesus. Holiness does not refer to man’s or self holiness. It refers to God’s holiness that we follow and we want to grow into. We have all sinned and fallen short. The only purity we receive is from God. When we are saved, we receive this purity for free in our lives. But this purity does not give us the permission to live our lives however we please. This purity is included in the practical holiness in our lives. There might be some associations or relationships in your life that need to be weeded out. We need to live a life dedicated to growing in holiness to the Lord. And when we live a life in purity, we receive the 7 blessings which are: 

1. WE WILL SEE GOD

Matthew 5:8 says Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Unless we are pure, we will not be able to see God. It is also written that no one has been able to see God with their own eyes. But you can see Him through your spiritual eyes. Just like our physical body has physical senses, our spiritual body has spiritual senses. Some people have visions and revelations, they see heaven, God, His clothes, His feet and so on.

The Scripture portion means that we will receive the right revelation about God. We have information about God. We have plenty of misunderstandings as well.

Hebrews 12:14 says Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

With holiness, we will see God!

2. PURE LOVE COMES OUT OF HOLINESS.

1 Timothy 1:5 says The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Blessings are blocked out for some people because they lack the desire and effort to live in holiness.
 

3. IT ENABLES US TO WORSHIP GOD IN THE PROPER WAY. 

Romans 12:1 says Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
The right worship comes only out of holiness. Without holiness, God will not accept the worship. God does not accept all the worship that comes from the world. Let us look at Cain and Abel; both had offered sacrifices but God only accepted one of them. 

4. WE BECOME USEFUL TO THE MASTER.

2 Timothy 2:21 says Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
‘Those who cleanse themselves’ - means that it is an individual’s decision and action not that of his/her spiritual leader or pastor to cleanse. 

5. WE WILL GROW STRONGER.

Job 17:9 says Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger.
Those living in holiness will have moral courage and strength. 

6. THE SECOND DEATH HAS NO POWER OVER THEM.

Revelation 20:6 says Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

7. IT HELPS US SUSTAIN OUR BLESSINGS ONCE RECEIVED. 

John 5:14 says Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”

In order to preserve the healing you have received, do not fall into sin. It is because of your old/past sins that you find sickness in your life. But God heals you without a second thought and without asking for anything back. Instead, He only asks you to stop sinning!
