Recycled Orchestra
Yesterday we had looked into Isaiah 58:12 which says, ‘Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.’
God changes the names of people!
Do you remember the Kerala Floods of 2018? It was a huge tragedy that affected people in all walks of life in so many districts and areas. Most thought that the devastation of the tragedy was something that Kerala would not be able to overcome anytime soon. Contrary to what people thought, because of the unity amongst the people, the tragedy of the losses was easily overcome by the grace of God!
Similarly, in South America there is a slum area called Cateura in Paraguay which is well-known for the robberies, drug abuse, and high crime rates. Being a slum area, people dump all their waste over there - building waste, waste from homes, etc. filling up the land. And when it rains, the area becomes flooded causing the water body nearby to become contaminated. The people there live a contaminated life.
It is when an individual named Favio Chavez, who is an environmental engineer, comes into this place and he wishes to make a change there. He started teaching the children of the slum music. With the help of a nearby carpenter, they made instruments using the waste materials available. And they called this the ‘Recycled Orchestra’ which blew up and these children got the chance to travel to many countries and cities and play. With each trip, they were able to receive fundraising money to uplift their hometown.
From out of trash came music and beautiful homes and community! Just like the carpenter, we are called to be Repairer of Broken Walls & Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
Psalm 53:6 says, Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
The truths that are being communicated in this passage are;
Christ is anointed to make us the rebuilder ancient ruins!

- God restores His people. God is a God of restoration! When restoration takes place, the two things that happen are - you will rejoice again, and you will be glad again. God will restore you or the situation back to its former glory!
