Restoration Of Worship
Isaiah 61:4
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
If you are someone who was ablaze for God in the past but has now lost your fire, God is able and willing to restore you today. The Bible talks about God’s ability to rebuild, restore and renew old things.
Acts 15:16,17
16 “‘After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, 17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
even all the Gentiles who bear my name says the Lord, who does these things’”
God says here that He will rebuild David’s fallen tent such that all the people will begin to seek Him.
In the time of Moses, they had altars for God. When David became King, he wanted to build a big temple for God. He used his own savings to buy the land for the temple. God told him that David would not build this temple, but his son, Solomon, would build it. Till then David worshipped God in a tent- this was his tabernacle or place of worship. In this tabernacle, David worshipped God daily for many hours. He was not only a king, he was also a great musician and worshipper. He welcomed a wave of worship in Israel- he has written so many of the psalms!
David had a heart of worship. Even though Solomon built the temple, Jesus always said He was the son of David. And even here, God says he will rebuild David’s tent! Where there is true worship, God honours and values it. This was not the sacrifice of animals or incense in the altar, but a true heart of worship.
God wants to restore the David type of worship on earth! This is so that the rest of mankind will seek the Lord. Rebuilding the tabernacle of David, means rebuilding true worship. This is prophetic, that this generation will come back to the true heart of worship. Especially among the youths, there will be a restoration of worship.
All of this will be for the glory of God. When worship goes up, God’s glory comes down to earth. True worship is in spirit and in truth. The real worship leader is the Holy Spirit. He decides what must happen!
