The Anointing For Rebuilding
Isaiah 61:4 says, They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
We have been looking at this passage this week and learning about the Anointing of Rebuilding. Christian life is an experience that is real and to be enjoyed. Most teenagers and youths misinterpret the true meaning of Christian life. They think leading a Christian life means giving up fun and enjoyment and all forms of freedom. Sinfulness offers a fleeting experience of fun and freedom. Real life is truly enjoyed when we are one with God.
Life becomes meaningful only in Jesus!
God has said “I am the life”. So do not think that this is a narrow minded decision or statement!
For some youths, their friends are their life! They do everything for their friends and spend all their time with their friends. That is never the life we should live! Because this leads to destruction.
Philippians 1:23-24 says; (23) I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; (24) but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
Christian life is not just a changed life, it is an exchanged life!
We are exchanging our life with God, not with our friends or family. Jesus gave up his life and everything for us, so it is only right that we do the same for Him!
Yesterday, we looked at bringing back true worship into our lives. Today, we are going to look at Nehemiah 2:20 which says; I answered them by saying, “The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it.”
We can see 4 things taking place here:
Before the final revival takes place, we need to focus on the return, rebuilding and restoration in our lives. After we complete the three in order, revival will follow soon after in our places and in our lives.
The most important ability before God is availability!
