Go Where The Spirit Goes

The Holy Spirit says the month of August is a season of open heaven. You will experience the open heavens as per the promise of God for our church. I have instructions from God for the Blessing Today family; listen and follow and take steps according to the prophetic guidelines/ instructions that the Spirit of the Lord gives you. 

Romans 8:14 says, ‘For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.’
The Holy Spirit sometimes guides us through prophetic Word, promises and instructions that come to us in a timely manner. For instance, the Holy Spirit commanded Paul to not preach in the province of Asia Minor, but to shift his focus to Macedonia. This could be because those regions might not have been ready to revive the Word of God at the time. We have to take every step in our life as per the mandate of the Holy Spirit that resides in us. 

Ezekiel 1:4-12 says, ‘4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The centre of the fire looked like glowing metal,5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human,6 but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four of them had faces and wings, 9 and the wings of one touched the wings of another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved. 10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. They each had two wings spreading out upward, each wing touching that of the creature on either side; and each had two other wings covering its body. 12 Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.’

The emphasis here is - these four heavenly creatures went straight ahead wherever the Spirit went. 

Ezekiel 1:13-21 ‘ 13 The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. 14 The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning. 15 As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. 16 This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.17 As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went. 18 Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around. 19 When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. 20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21 When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.’

The reason why I read out this passage is to highlight the movement of the four creatures seen in Heaven. The Holy Spirit resides in these creatures and they moved as the Spirit moved because the Spirit was in their wheels. These creatures are seen to buzz around and move around a lot, but everything is to be led by the Spirit. We too must be led by the Spirit (Romans 8.14). 

I believe that God is going to give each of us a busy schedule ahead. A busy season of ministry to travel and preach the sermons and share the good news to the ends of the Earth. Wherever the Spirit leads you to go, you must go. The symbolic representation of wheels is also to indicate the swiftness or speed in which we must do what the Lord tells us to do. 

John 1:49-51 says, ‘49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” 50 Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” 51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”’

When anyone has their first encounter with Jesus, know that he already knows your future and sees everything. As soon as Jesus saw Peter he said,  "You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas". Cephas means a piece of rock. If God says something in your first encounter with him, know that, that is your future. Whatever the Lord told Saul as he fell down from the horse happened to him.

It’s time to recollect every prophetic utterance upon you. You might be in a less than ideal situation and troubled by several problems. But know that ultimately his plans/ blueprint for you will work out and those are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, but to give you a good future. His plans for you will always be executed. Even if the devil attacks you, know that the Holy Spirit will take you to that destination. God is pointing at many of you and saying that you are going to see greater things in your life. 

We will see open heavens just as it was prophetically proclaimed to Nathaniel and  see Angels ascend and descend on the Son of man, representing angelic ministry. Open heavens indicates angels ascending from heaven to earth transporting the things of God. 
Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”’ 
We must believe it and experience it. It represents new beginnings, new and bigger things on the horizon. 

Revelation 4:1 says, ‘After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

Just like every country has a capital,  Heaven is the capital of the entire Universe. The whole universe comprises the visible and the invisible worlds. The visible world is what we can see and touch. The invisible universe are intangible substances around us, like the air we breathe, which we cannot see but can experience.

 Similarly the Spirit world is invisible. Spirit world is the reason for the physical world and the material things. The third heaven is the capital/ headquarters of the visible and invisible worlds. When Nathaniel sees the door open and angels ascending and descending from heaven, it also could mean that this door was closed all this while. This further means that we can live under an open or a closed heaven or even a partially open heaven. 

As per the New Testament we call our Lord and God, Heavenly Father. Heaven is the capital of the universe and we have a father in heaven. The Father/God of the universe is our father. We have a personal connection with the Creator of the Universe. 

In the Old Testament, God is mentioned as father about 20 times, but each time He is called the ‘Father of a Nation or People’ and not the father of an individual. In The New Testament, Jesus commanded that each one of us call God as our ‘father’ and henceforth the system/ covenant changed. We are in a Father- Son/Daughter relationship. 

We must know that this is the season of God’s favour  and grace over each one of us to live under the ‘Open Heavens’ wherever we go and whatever we do.
