Living Under Open Heaven

Sometimes when God asks us to wait, the wait can be longer than we think. But sometimes when God says he will do something fast, He does it faster than we can imagine! God’s calculation of time is very different and cannot be comprehended by our human brain.

In the last few episodes, we have been learning about open heaven. When heaven is open, what happens on earth? 

1. Excessive amount of God’s favour is poured out (but to receive anything from God, we need to believe and confess with the mouth)
2. Blessings are showered on you 
3. The voice of God is heard- just like John the Baptist  heard when Jesus was baptised  (Revelation 4:1 “After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.")
4. Visions are released- (Psalm 34.5 those who look to Lord are radiant, their faces will never be put to shame! )We should always look to God alone.
5. Outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon people
6. Supernatural healings and miracles will happen
7. Enemies will be scattered- When God rises, all His enemies will be scattered. We are in the same team as God.

The following verses give us a picture of the life we can lead under the open heaven
Deuteronomy 28:1-11
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. 
7 The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 
10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 
11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. 
12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 
13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 
14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

This is what life is like when you are under open heaven. This person will rise above all other people. God gave this promise to the Jews. But through Jesus, we also receive all these blessings. 
Galatians 3:14 “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”

Although Israel is a small nation, the richest people in many countries are Jews, they create and innovate many things. They rise above many people. 
We can also receive these blessings in our city, in the fruit of our wombs, the crops of our land, young of your livestock, your basket and food. You will be blessed wherever you go! Your enemies will be scattered. 

There was a Haman in the Old Testament, his wife told him not to fight with the Israelites because she knew that God was on their side!
Psalm 105.15  “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”

The Lord will bless everything you put your hand to. Everyone will see that the Lord is with you. 
If there was a time where people insulted you, a time will come where god will exalt you and honour you.
Zephaniah 3.20 At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honour and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes,” says the LORD.

You will live in abundant prosperity. You will lend and not borrow! You will be the head and not the tail! We are in the season of living under open heaven.
