God Speaks Through His Word

The past few weeks we have been preparing ourselves to hear the voice of God in our lives. The most important point to keep in mind is that there are many ways in which one can hear the voice of God. And one of the first ways to hear His voice is through man’s conscience. This is the first and foremost, basic, elementary foundational manner in which you can hear God. God can use the conscience of a man to communicate and talk to man. 

When God created man, Adam was not created as a child rather, he was made inthe form of a full-grown man. Adam was created in a perfect environment where there was no sin, blemish, or any evil thoughts or actions. It was when they listened to a voice other than that of God, they fell. Good and bad got mixed together, this gave birth to evil and sin. And from then on, they had to make a choice between right and wrong, this activated the conscience within themselves. 

The second way God speaks is through His Word. This is the most common way and the most basic way. God’s Word is the number one undiluted way through which God speaks. God speaks generally and God speaks specifically. 

Psalm 138:2 says I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Over here, God has exalted his Word above His name. This is about God’s integrity. This means that He will not change from it. What God has said and has revealed in His Word, He will never deviate from it! That is how much sincerity He shows towards His Word.

In other words, God’s word is the Truth. It is reliable, it is dependable. We can count on God’s Word because He will never change from it. 

Matthew 24:35 says Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

We should express the desire to hear the voice of God in our lives! God is speaking to all of humanity through His Word, whether they choose to listen to it or obey it, is something else. So what should we do? We need to interact with the Word and saturate ourselves with the Word. We have to prepare ourselves to hear the voice of God. We have to calibrate ourselves to recognise, to know, to discern the voice of God. 

In this day and age, the Bible is very easily accessible. There are a lot of different forms and shapes and sizes. It is even available in the size of a pill - the hologram Bible! But everything starts with us and the decision we make. We need to put in the effort to hear His voice. Logos - it is the voice of God, the words of God in written format. We need to take the time to learn and meditate and read the Word of God. We need to not just read but also eat and consume the Word of God. 

Saturate yourself with His Word! If we are filled with the Word, we will overflow with the Word in our daily life as well!
