God Speaks Through Nature
God can speak through His creation- nature.
Psalm 19:1-4 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. 3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. 4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. If you step outside and look around at nature, you can see the glorious creations of God and it helps us understand the display of God’s majesty. Daily, nature pours out speech and knowledge. They use no words or language but their voice reaches the ends of the world. All creation speaks to us!
Romans 1:20 (NLT) For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
No one has an excuse for not knowing God because all creation speaks of His existence and qualities.
In Psalm 139, David talks about the glory of God. Whenever we see beautiful paintings, we wonder who painted it because it is the skill and imagination of the artist that is reflected on the painting. In order to paint beautifully, the artist must be a talented painter!
In the same way, the glorious creations on earth reflect the majesty of the God who created them! Even the birds and animals speak of God’s glory.
For example, a dove shows us peace and purity. It is used as a symbol of peace. In some cases we have seen that when a person gets baptised, a dove flies by. This is an encouragement, reminding us of God's presence.
An eagle shows elevation, far-sightedness. A lion shows royalty, dominion, and strength. All animals show us different characteristics and qualities.
A fish, in the Bible, shows souls/people. When Peter miraculously caught fish with Jesus, it was prophetic of the souls he would win. Jesus told him that he would become a fisher of men.
In Jesus Calls ministry, when Benny Hinn was praying once, they experienced a mighty wind blow inside. In another church, they had mango trees outside which were bearing fruit and falling onto the adjacent property. A man of God saw this and felt that God was speaking that this property would also be for the church. A few days later, this property was gifted to them. God speaks through nature, we only need to listen!
