Christmas Message

Let us start from the scriptures to know the real value and message of Christmas .
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
When John wrote the gospel he introduced Jesus in a very unique way. He introduced him as the Word.
In the beginning was the Word , the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is called the Word or Logos. In the beginning there was the Word so this shows the preexistence of Jesus and he was with God. He was God. This makes many people confused and often lead to doubt who is God? What is word?. The concept of trinity makes this clearer.
Now what led to Christmas ? Christmas is born because the Word became flesh. God became man and this is beyond what we can comprehend. Christmas is when the supernatural came into the natural world. The divine became human. The invisible became visible. The true meaning of Christmas is this .
Nowadays the Christmas season has become a season of festivities and celebrations. It has become more into a holiday break to mark the end of year , a time to relax. The Scripture conveys the truth that Christmas is because the Word became flesh. Do we experience and remember the true value of Christmas?
What is the message of Christmas?
The message that Christmas brings is a message of love.
1 John 4:9-10
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Christmas is the true form of the expression of God’s love for us. God showed his love by sending his one and only begotten Son to this evil world of sinners. The world did not recognize God as God and killed his Son. This shows his pure love to redeem us .
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us
God loved us first which is indeed an overwhelming love. Man behaved so harshly to him as sinners in this cruel world so we all have no excuse but to love him back.
Christmas also conveys a message of giving. Love is a giver so giving is born as love is expressed. We shall give during Christmas so we shall receive .
Another message of Christmas is forgiveness. God gave us an incredible gift in Jesus and his crucifixion. He did this to forgive us of all our sins.
Let everyone understand the true meaning of Christmas instead of being carried away with the season’s celebrations.
