Keys to Open Heaven 7: Enforcing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth - Part 1
Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.
Now you may wonder how one can attack the Kingdom of God when the Lord Himself is known as Jehovah Sabaoth - the Lord of the armies. ‘Subjected to violence’ means forcing one’s way into a thing/place. This happened from the days of John the Baptist, as he was the first one to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Before John, the kingdom could only be viewed in the light of prophecy; whereas from the days of John the Baptist, people began to believe, repent and forcibly enter the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Even Jesus preached on repentance and the gates of heaven are open; people are pressing into it with passion, resembling violence or desperation.
Revelation 21:7,8 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
It is those who with confidence, faith and repentance press into the kingdom of God that gets saved. You will have to oppose the opposition in order to enter. Do not be afraid of your parents, the society or religious backgrounds when it comes to saying yes to Jesus - His unconditional love, forgiveness, the free gift of salvation and His righteousness. When you stand for Jesus, He will stand with you; and just as His Word says, ‘if God is for us, who can stand against us?’
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.
Such violent people will stand through when relatives oppose them.
Matthew 10:34-39 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Luke 2:13,14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.”
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
The above verses are contradictory. But here’s the elucidation - only those who believe in Jesus and enter the Kingdom will get to enjoy His peace personally, the peace that surpasses all understanding while on Earth. But those who’ve personally received Jesus’ peace may have to stand before a sword within their own home, because of their faith in Jesus and whoever loses their life for the sake of Jesus will find it.
Matthew 5:11,12 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
The Kingdom of God has not been marked on the world map, but the kingdom of God covers all the kingdoms of this world; and anybody from any kingdom can access the Kingdom of God through Jesus; for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!!
