Jesus’ Model life
We cannot please God by satisfying our fleshly desires. As believers we all try to live a life that pleases God but we have out weak points.
People habituated to a certain bad habit cannot be trusted when they claim that they can discontinue the habit anytime.
They probably have quit several times but end up continuing it.
We must know that with the help of God we can overcome any addiction.
None of us can go forward without the Holyspirit.
According to the New Testament,
God has already done everything for us. Everything is already done, whereas in the Old Testament it says “Do” we are assigned to do several things. Instead in the New Testament it is “Done”.
We need the fuel of the Holy Spirit.
Imagine you have a Mercedes Benz but there’s no fuel in the car. What is the use of the car?
You can be the best but you need the seal of God.
There are different demonstrations of the working of the Holy Spirit.
We must live our lives as a vessel for Christ.
John 3:6 KJV
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The Bible says the Spirit gives life and the flesh counts for nothing.
The flesh must be dead for the spirit.
The word of God is full of life.
Every Scripture in the Bible is Spirit breathed. The Holy Spirit is in work when we read the word of God.
The flesh must be thrown away from the Spirit.
Jesus modeled this kind of a life for us,
Philippians 2:13
13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
God uses us as a vessel, he is pouring out everything.
He gives us guidance and we follow, that is the way of the New Covenant.
Jesus showed us how this life is lived, he followed what God wanted him to do.
Jesus said to one of the disciples that if you have seen me, you have seen the father.
So whatever Jesus has said is what the Father is saying, that is the kind of life Jesus lived.
Whatever Jesus did on earth was done through the will of God.
