Insecurity

We know that Jesus can completely change and strengthen a person. We have seen it in the life of Abraham as he was called out to be a blessing to all nations. In one call, God changed his destiny. The Lord can make us a new creation! God can give us a soul transformation.
For this, we must know our identity in Christ and what all we have in Him. God did not create us as introverts. It is the fall of man that made us fearful.
Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to God who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
Galatians 4:6,7 "Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[a] Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”
We must know that all the blessings of heaven belong to us and we are co heirs with Jesus. We do not have to live in insecurity.
King Saul is an example of insecurity and inferiority complex in the Old Testament. Considering another person’s progress to be a threat to oneself is a sign of insecurity. Envy and jealousy is involved. Saul was insecure in David’s victories when he should have rejoiced with David who was his son in law. Deep insecurity is a soul syndrome. Such a person can’t trust people and work in a team. This leads to deep inner wounds which makes them independent and selfish. The sin of selfishness and independence will make a person say “ Only my opinion, Me first” etc. This results in pride and fear of man. A person with insecurity will have a history of all these sinful natures and it leads to premature death as in the case of King Saul.
Envy is a feeling of resentment at someone's possessions. Jealousy is not being happy at someone’s victory. But we can overcome this envy and jealousy in Jesus and be transformed to a level where we are happy about someone’s progress. There is no jealousy or insecurity in Christ.
Our journey with Christ doesn’t end at accepting Him and being baptised. It includes a renewal of the mind and a change to become more like Christ.
James 3:14-16 “But if you harbour bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
If we receive a baptism of love, we will be able to overcome envy.
Other people’s jealousy of us can give us soul pressure and hinder our ministry. The solution to overcome this is to check ourselves first: do we have jealousy and envy towards others? If we overcome this, we will not be affected when others are envious of us. We can pray breaking the soul is jealousy coming against us after overcoming our jealousy towards others.
All these feelings are invisible and it works in the spiritual realm. We need the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to reveal these to us so we can overcome them.
